Topgolf & 20th Anniversary Golf Tournament and Dinner

Our 20th Anniversary golf celebrations brought patients, families, friends, supporters, and Coats’ Disease advocates together for two memorable days of fun, friendship, and fundraising!

Guests enjoyed an afternoon of friendly competition at Topgolf on August 23, followed by our 20th Annual Golf Tournament on August 27, where nearly 100 golfers enjoyed perfect weather, plenty of birdies, and a great day on the course.

The evening continued with dinner and a special program featuring Jack McGovern, Ed McGovern, and John Bruno, who reflected on the Foundation’s 20-year journey and the importance of continuing the fight for a cure.

Keeping the evening moving—and everyone laughing—was our emcee, Paul Tonelli. Paul brought his signature energy, quick wit, and warmth to the evening. His ability to connect with the crowd made the program both entertaining and meaningful, helping create a memorable celebration of the people and passion behind 20 years of progress.

The tournament also featured a live auction and our Fund the Future appeal, allowing guests to directly support the Foundation’s continued commitment to research and a future without Coats’ Disease.

We also honored Ed McGovern and John Bruno, who are stepping away from the Golf Tournament Planning Committee after an incredible 20 years of dedicated service. Their commitment and leadership have helped make the tournament one of the Foundation’s most enduring and successful traditions. We are grateful that Ed and John will remain involved as players and Foundation representatives.

As we look ahead, the leadership baton now passes to Jack McGovern, Bob Duyn, and Christian Kurtela, who will carry this important tradition forward.

Thank you to everyone who helped make our 20th Anniversary golf celebrations such a success! We are incredibly grateful for the golfers, sponsors, volunteers, donors, committee members, and friends who continue to show up for Coats’ Disease.
